Celebrating English Cricket’s 1000 th Test

English Cricket arena on August 1 st , 2018 achieved a RECORD of playing their 1000 th Test Cricket. Being the “Great grandfather” of Cricket, this could be a greatest feat which would be something what the Cricket teachers can be very proud of.

I am not experienced/aged well to talk about all those years they have played in establishing this. But certainly, I can publish and flourish the memories from the time, I have been following it.

I still remember the first series, in which I started following cricket (with Passion) – back in the year 1993, when English team toured India. The tour was packed with the Greats like

Gooch, Gatting, Atherton, Smith, Hick & Defraitas. (Of course, they have lost all 3 test matches in that series, still it was a treat to watch all these greats playing). Fallen in love with the sport and started following.

They have seen great cricketers well before and even after, this series – I can name a few : Bob Willis, Gower, Geff Boycott, Iam Botham, Darren Gough, Andrew Flintoff, Alec Stewart, Anderson, Trescothick, Swann, Collingwood, Strauss, Peterson, Trott, Cook, Nasser Hussain, Michael Vaughan and so on…

The list is not a complete one, just some which came on top off my mind. Test Cricket in England is always something very special and playing 1000 matches in the game, which they have invented, is something to celebrate.

They are deserving the 1000 th match was well scheduled and being played against India – who is the BEST Competitor for them at the moment.

Hope they will continue, their great exhibition of Cricketing skills and spread unlimited fun and enjoyment to all their Fans around the world.
